One Week Ago

Last week it was homecoming for Yreka High School, which means it was a bit of a different and crazy week for Cyrus and his cousins, Christen and Caven, whom also go to the same school!!  There is also a lot of emphasis put on the football homecoming games (OK, it HAS been a while since I was in high school!!)  Cyrus played on Thursday night and then Caven, who is a Senior this year, played on Friday night (JV and Varsity teams.) 
Anyway, Caven was chosen to be on the homecoming court this year and as luck would have it, his mom and dad BOTH were gone hunting in WY!!  Susan bought her ticket to fly to meet up with John in WY the day before she found out that Caven was chosen to be a part of the homecoming court!!  We were sure to be there to support and cheer (yell and scream) for him even if we didn't fill (not even close!)the place of his parents!!  Here are some pictures of the fun night!

As you can see, many of the students were escorted by their parents.

Unfortunately, the Yreka Miners did NOT win their homecoming game!!  Also, my pictures were not very good.  I did not take any, but the kids did since my lap was full most of the entire game!  Oh, and Caven was not chosen homecoming King, but the other football player that was chosen for court, did get chosen as king with the blond beside Caven.
