Adoption Update

I was truly hoping the next time I would be updating about our adoption that it would be really great news!!  I have put off this post for a few days now, hoping to hear more.  At the beginning of the week we found out that the additional information that the embassy requested for Bereket's case cannot be completed.  Our agency has been working 3 weeks now to try to locate Bereket's birth mother with no luck.  Therefor, that request (an interview between Bereket's mother and embassy)cannot be fulfilled.  The other request was for the local police to write a letter to do with the disappearance of Bereket's father.  The police are refusing to cooperate.  Alas, the second request can not be fulfilled.  As far as the police request goes, this has been happening to a lot of other families and other agencies as well!  The police are not interested in helping out.  We do not know what the embassy will reply with.  We are waiting again!!  Nope.  Nothing new.  Just more waiting and praying for our kiddos to get home.

We did receive monthly updates on Eden and Bereket but our agency changed the monthly update reports, so that the pictures are a part of the report, instead of separate attachments.  I have not found a way to get the pictures by themselves off the report.  This means that I will not be able to post their new pictures because I don't want to post the whole report!!  Interestingly, the new reports have much more detail, which is neat.  We found out that Bereket's feet are 4.3 inches long!!  I told the kids he had really small feet!!  He has been sick in the last month as well and they were giving him a garlic an water steam therapy!!!  We also read that Eden can now introduce her family in English!!  How neat is that?!!  They also said that her favorite clothing is skirts and dresses!!  Her aunt visited her in the last month as well!  That is a few little tidbits of information that we enjoyed.

well sorry to hear that there have been more bumps in the road as I know how anxious you are to get your kiddos home. Everything works out the way it should even though some times when we are in an experience it isnt easy. Take care.

That's so hard! God's timing is perfect though. It's just a rougher road then we'd like sometimes! Take care.
