Mondays are generally not my favorite day of the week. Laundry takes up most of my day usually, but it is worth it to have that out of the way for the rest of the week. Bills is another thing I usually tackle on Mondays, not to mention just trying to organize my week in my mind, or sometimes it is necessary to do on a sheet of paper. Mondays are definitely better in the summer, though, that is for sure. So, take a Monday without my two great helper girls, a dentist appointment at 1 pm, with loads of laundry and guess how my Monday has been?! Yep, a little crazy, but it started out on the right foot by a morning run at 6 am when it was still cool!
The highlight of my day, though, has been receiving much awaited documents (passports, court decrees, MOWA letter, vaccination documents, and adoption contracts!!) for Eden and Bereket. This means that it his highly possible that we can file for embassy next Monday, as long as a couple more documents show up from the orphanages!!! My heart is so happy to see more writing and documentation saying that we are the being given all ownership of these two children!!
Last week I have to admit, I was feeling a little blue because we had a reality call from our coordinator saying that we could be waiting a little longer than we were hoping (we are still hoping that it will be August that we bring them home) to travel to Ethiopia. Last month a lot of the people who work at embassy in Ethiopia for embassy appointments (which will be our deciding factor on when we travel)decided to take vacations (I thought only Americans did that!! HA!) and so the appointments filled up fast and they got a bit behind! That for one, is a good reason that we may be getting a later embassy appointment!
No matter what, just to hear that we are a little step further in the process makes my heart happy, so it has been a happy Monday indeed!!
