Sewing Therapy

This week we have had Autumn (Don and Coleen's girl)staying with us.  It has been an interesting week but actually been very good with an extra here.  Cyrus and Treva went to Sacramento with Coleen, so Katreese is the big girl here which has also been a nice change for her.  

The beginning of the week I was looking through my sewing things and found a pair of jeans and long jean shorts that came from a friend's hand-me-downs (thanks, Jeanie!!)  I had set them out to make skirts out of them since I thought it would be fun.

Autumn will be 6 years old soon and it was interesting how the girls played together!!  They did very well.  Bella is younger than them all but Autumn and Bella play really good together as well as Autumn and Eden.  You would think that Autumn is older than Eden but maybe that is because Autumn is the youngest in a large family!  Katreese did very well helping out with the "littles" and she enjoyed having Autumn sleep in her room with her even if Autumn almost always ended up in Katreese's bed!!

At the beginning of the week when I was doing the various sewing projects, Katreese suggested we find matching t-shirts when we went to town so they could all be matching.  I asked what kind of shirts Katreese thought they should have and she wanted Ethiopia shirts so we went to town looking for t-shirts and fabric for the Africa and the heart that goes on Ethiopia.  We also found fun material for skirts which was not part of the original plan but the material was so cute and I knew it would make great little skirts so I finished them Yesterday just in time for them to wear them together today for Sunday meeting!
