Quiet Time

It has been a very quiet day here.  I must confess, it's just weird!!  We went to Saginaw convention and the youngest four kiddos went with a friend for this week so I could have some quiet time.  I relish it even though it's weird!!

Cade and I had a date with our oldest two, Cyrus and Treva.  It was very special.  These two started back to high school today!! My summer is definitely slipping away....  These two kids are going to be grown up and out of the house before I blink.  It makes me sad but I love spending time with them.  Last night it made this mother's heart happy to watch the two of them joke with each other and talk about school.  Then, this morning, to see the two of them walk to the bus together.  My heart, be still...

We were fortunate to make it to Saginaw.  I enjoyed seeing some of my blogger friends there!!  It was very special!!  I want to say, though, please consider my husband and family and respect (tho not one of you did not respect)that my hubby is not all too sure of the blogger world.  He is a very private person and does not want his family on display.  I don't either.  However, I felt encouraged from speaking to each of you there and was reminded that if our situation / experiences are a help and encouragement to keep true to God and to what you believe and to know it is possible with God's help in hard experiences to endure.... that is what it's all about.  I also want to say that I was overwhelmed after meeting some of you blogger friends that I have never met face to face before this weekend, I remembered during meeting that many prayers have went up on our behalf and I am so very humbled... and thankful!!!  I am sure I can't even imagine how many, but I do know that it has helped keep me and that God's family is such a wonderful family!!

So, what is a person to do when you are all alone at home?!  Umm, paint?!!  (smile)  I am finishing the living room and then this week I plan to try to lay low and enjoy each day.

our date to Red Lobster

First day of high school!

I am respectful of your privacy, while, at the the same time time interested in your blog.
You and your husband must just be aware that by posting on the internet, you are public.
No one is looking for YOU or YOUR family in particular, but you are connected to other blogs which might not have the same privacy settings as yours.
I found yours through the link 'adoption.'
I wasn't looking for YOU in particular.
But it's really hard to be private on gthe internet since you can't control other people's settings

Good to see your kids this evening! Take care of yourself and hopefully you can get lots and lots of rest! :)We heard about keeping our focus on Christ. That is the only answer to any situation.
