Gone Too Soon

Summer has mostly slipped by us now and I am feeling like there is still so much I wanted to do with my family.  Today Treva had freshman orientation and Cyrus has been having football practice for two weeks already.  "sigh"  I really have to admit that summer is almost over.

The majority of my summer has just been surviving, trying not to drown in the issues that arise with six kids, but more so with Eden to be honest.  We also have had some home improvements done by a hired carpenter here (not to mention the painting project) and that has added to the end of our crazy summer but I am so glad we had that done!!  (Blog post to come on that!) The carpenter is a grandfather and he enjoyed Cyrus' help very much!! He told me Yesterday that he didn't know how I did it with six kids!  Keep in mind, all six kids were home the days he worked in our home.  I kinda chuckled and he said, "No, I am serious.  I am already tired!!"  So is the juggling act (I feel) with six kids and meeting the needs of each.  

I was so glad that Treva and Katreese grabbed my camera and captured some cute pictures by the pool!!  That has been such a great incentive around here and we have used it on a daily basis until the last couple of weeks (we had some unusual cool weather and had some extra things going on)!  This week we had our last fun shopping day in town before Treva starts school (per request by Treva).  I will add that my shopping days in town with usually five kids (no matter how many) are usually very enjoyable!  They are all old enough now that we enjoy our time together (especially the smoothies and fraps!)
