Our Past Week

We have been a bit distracted, or could I say, occupied, in the last week.  Our good friend, Heather Boyd came to visit.  She is in Sacramento going to nursing school and used her spring break to visit us!!!  Even though Heather is not blood related, she IS a part of our family.  Heather came to nanny for us the summer after Kohlie finished her treatment.  

I have to admit that I had some reservations about her coming, but not on my behalf.  I was only concerned in changing dynamics in our household but I think the complete family would agree that we all benefited from her visit.  She offered much comic relief to the momma and was such a big help without interfering with our bonding process!!  It was just so good all around!!  Today we waved good-bye to her as she went to visit her family in the bay area.  

I knew it would be interesting to see how the my three littles did with Heather being around.  It was not easy sometimes, because they found that they did NOT have Mom's entire attention like they are used to, but I think it was a good thing, without undermining their importance!!  It was interesting to notice a little acting out for attention on occasions but it is such a normal kid thing!  Our schedule got a bit changed up and when nap time came around Heather and I chatted the entire time!!

 What a extra fun week for us all having Heather around!!  She is such a special person and we loved having her stay!!  It was just what the doctor ordered!!  Happy weekend to you all!!
