Adoptive mothers that come across my blog please comment if you have heard of Holly Van Gulden, or on permanence and constancy!! I am anxious to share more but until I get more of my thoughts together on this, I will post about something different today!
RUNNING. I am in training for another half marathon with my sister. I started training conveniently around the time the kids went back to school! Don't worry, my sis and I looked at the calendar long and hard to try to figure out the best time for us to be able to leave for a race and for training! I have found that this training works well for me. For me, anyway, it works well to have a schedule and then I do have to work some things around my training schedule but not usually until the time I really start logging a lot of running miles, which is where I am right now. I find I have to focus on eating well, sleeping well, etc in order for my runs to be enjoyable and not feel worn out by the end of the day dealing with normal everyday issues as well!!
We have about a month until race time, now, which means this past week I put in 8 miles during the week, sprints on the treadmill, and then will be running 12 miles tomorrow!! I have been changing up my running route and during my midweek run I have been jogging with Little Bear in the jogging stroller after the kids are off to school. This has been a treat and it also is less pressure than trying to run before the kids are up for school! Little Bear has been such a trooper, enduring the very cool fall morning weather. He is pretty cool like that! (smile)
| Here he is, all bundled up!! |
| this is how I ran pretty much the entire time! |
