In a couple of days(Friday) I will be flying by myself to meet my sister in San Diego, where we will run the Silver Strand half marathon! I've tried to down play my excitement for this break, well, because, Eden does not respond well to my leaving... and I really want to have good days with her before I leave. However, you can only keep so much excitement bottled in! HA! It is a great time for a break and a bit of R&R (like running 13.1 miles, right?!!)!
Yesterday I had a shopping trip planned to get stocked up on groceries before I leave. Not only that, but I have two daughters with birthdays in this great month of November! Anyway, I decided to surprise Eden and take her with us to town because I really was feeling like some of her behavioral issues were because of me leaving (fear)since it is the female (mother) figures in her life that have deserted her, this is a big fear trigger for her! She was all ready to go to school Yesterday and when we got to school I told her to stay in the car with Bella and Bereket and I talked to her teacher who is very cool and understanding!! I came back and said to Eden, "Eden, you are not going to school today.." Before I even finished she exclaimed, "Awesome!!" The way her whole face lit up was great!
The day was very nice, a very delightful, fall day in town with my three "littles" the way it used to be and I think they all loved it and have missed just the three of them being together! I smiled many times as I watched Eden and Bella interact! They were so happy! Now I am wishing I would have taken some pictures..
About that run... well, I have been training on the same schedule as my sister. It is a 12 week training schedule and I am really happy to say I have logged many miles running in the past while!! I added together all my sprints, short runs, and long runs and came to a total of 182 miles! I had a couple times where I did not make the whole distance, due to time usually but I did most all of that!!! It has been such a huge stress reliever, therapy, time to think, and achievement for me! I am excited for the race and on my list of thankfulness is definitely my health: being able to be healthy enough to run those miles, feel good, and push myself!! So often we take our health for granted!
Happy Tuesday!!

You will have such a wonderful time. Jelly that I can't join you gals, but then... I would sort of feel like a 3rd wheel, anyway. Glad you two find ways to do things together. Love you both! Best wishes this weekend.
Sister time is so great--enjoy yourselves! And good for you for all your hard work and training. (sweet story about Eden, too...those little moments of connection go a long way for mama's, too).
You wd not be like a third/wheel!! The running (race) is the "excuse" I needed to have a weekend w/ my sis! (I know, sad!!)
Yep, sister time is a good thing! Can 't think of the last time Crystal & I have had time alone & together like this!!!!
