Anniversary Vacation

After my last post on our anniversary, I think it is appropriate to tell you our big vacation is for our anniversary...well, kind of!  Especially, since Cade took off on a trip to Montana hunting the day after our anniversary with Cyrus!  The big vacation that I was telling you all about is......

 KAUAI, HAWAII!!!  Yes, I did have a couple people that left comments and were right on their guess!!  Now, this is a big deal for Cade and I.  We haven't EVER done anything like this.  Granted, we did go to Ethiopia together but it was a little different kind of a trip.  We have never really EVER taken a trip just the two of us to "chill."  Is that possible for me?!!  I know there is ONE place I can relax best and that is by the ocean!!

Thanks for many sweet comments about our anniversary!  Loved EACH one!  We leave in one week from YESTERDAY!  OH MY!  Yep, that is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  I don't know how we are going to leave, but some how we are going to be on that plane!  
It is amazing how much work / effort goes into a vacation, especially when you are leaving SIX kids behind!  It truly takes a lot of planning, especially when you plan to be gone for 10 days!!!!!
Some many be wondering how Eden is being prepared for this.  For one, I have not given her the EXACT date of when we leave (she knows we are leaving and that is enough to worry her) and we are not going to tell any of the kids the exact date we come back, mostly for Eden.  I think this will help her to not get caught up in watching the calender and she has to trust we will be back!  Our dear friend, Krista, will be staying with my kids and she is a certified nanny with expertise with children from hard places.  I am very grateful for this opportunity.  I know I can trust that she "gets" a lot of issues Eden and Bereket could have and she understands so much of what we have been through!!  As for Eden, I have had a tough weekend with her and wonder how much of it is already her dealing with emotions of knowing we both are leaving!  I am trying to focus with her on having a great Thanksgiving vacation next week and less on us leaving!!
