Hiking In S.V.

After a night like the last and day such as today, it would be easier to NOT post today.  Then, I decided looking back at our wonderful vacation memories could be helpful!  

Eden came down with a flu bug and started vomiting last night and through the night!  POOR GIRL!!  We had planned to take a load full of kids on a field trip (with my five) with the school today.  Lunches were made, clothes were set out, plans were all made..... to change!!  Today has been one of those hard days.  It is Eden's first big sickness in our home and I've found that she is unsure of how she should act when sick.  We wouldn't give it a second thought, right?!  I thought of writing more on my day today but decided against it for now.


Crystal took us all on a hike which we have enjoyed in past visits!  I was very impressed that the kids all did so well.  It was a 3.75 mile hike.

 We had a wonderful privilege to spend time with Alan Anderson.  He had just been in Iowa for a funeral and seen my folks.  He flew back into Tuscon and the Majors picked him up and met us and McDonalds on their way back to the Major's house.  Alan was on his way back to Mexico.  The last time we had with Alan was at Mt. Ranch convention with Kohlie (a couple months before she passed away) and Alan did his "handkerchief tricks" for us!  It was fun to get some time with Alan and of course we had to ask if he could show the kids his tricks!  Bereket was a bit scared at first but then he giggled like crazy!
