Although we are trying hard to have them feel a part of our family, that doesn't just come. It only comes with time. With time comes security, familiarity, bonding, a sense of acceptance, and love. It is hard to feel at times that Bereket still doesn't have full assurance this is his forever family. Of course, he is learning what a family is all about, as Eden has and still is!
Yesterday we went out as a family of eight. We have not been out publicly much at all shopping or eating especially. We went to gospel meeting in Medford and then had a few errands to run and there were a couple of times I had emotions caught in my throat!! Thankfulness, pride, happiness, love, and so many emotions as I took in my family all together!!! How am I so lucky? I feel complete with my family of eight. One question I have heard is, "So, how is it with SIX kids?" Honestly, I don't feel much difference. HONESTLY. The biggest change I have felt is in laundry. Oh, possibly with groceries too but I have some growing kids!! (Eden's eating has evened out now.) I am not saying there will not be overwhelming days when I feel very stretched!! That will come, but I know that and accept it.
Now, for pictures from my new i-phone!! YAYY!
