Last night I grilled pizza for the first time. I had a great recipe I wanted to try and since Friday nights are always great for pizza, wah-la!! I definitely went the easy way for my first time grilling episode with pizza, pre-made pizza sauce and pizza dough from the can!
The recipe I had was for basil chicken pizza and it was very good!!
This was the pepperoni pizza! I had to be quick with the dough so it didn't burn!
Julia and Katreese putting on the pepperoni!
Fresh basil chicken pizza (hindsight, it would have been better with fresh garlic too!)
They weren't so pretty, but they were a hit!
Then, last evening we planted annuals in Kohlie's garden. The girls helped me put in begonias, hot pink impatiens, and mixed purple / blue lobelia for the border!! The rose of sharon tree was a gift from Cade's Aunt Katherine after Kohlie passed away with a plaque saying, "In Memory of Kohlie Doris Crawford" with her dates. I am trying to go easy on the flowers, especially the annuals this year for our pocketbook, but for Kohlie's garden it is always worth it!
This morning the girls (Katreese and her cousin, Julia, and Bella ) and I loaded up a couple of bikes and the jogging stroller and we enjoyed a bicycle / jog along the river. It was really beautiful and the temperature was wonderful and pleasant! Cade had plans and he took Cyrus so we didn't hesitate to find something to do! This afternoon the girls made berry smoothies with Greek yogurt and honey! YUM! I am so enjoying these slower days we are having!!

The garden sounds lovely. Glad to read about you enjoying your lazy (well, that's kind of a stretch with you guys... you're always working/pretty busy, but you know what I mean) summer days.
