Birthday Party

Yesterday we had a very nice day with family, mostly!  Christen (John and Susan's second oldest) had a birthday to celebrate so we had dinner and cake together.  Christen and her friend, Sarah, made a cake that not only looked like a watermelon, but tasted like watermelon too.  I have to say, though, the texture was a bit different (than watermelons)!  (smile)  The cake was very cute and of course all the kiddos that surrounded the cake.  I do have to be careful, though, because these kids are growing up and some of them may not appreciated being called, "cute."
