After getting back from our church convention Yesterday, I have been doing a lot of catching up (mostly laundry)!! That also means unpacking for the family and repacking for Cade and I as our time is nearing to when we leave on the airplane for ETHIOPIA!! I definitely have some last minute things to do, but mostly just getting things in order so we can leave the kids with my dad (he flies in on Thurs.).
We had the best days at our church convention!!! IT truly was encouraging, refreshing, and renewing!! I am so glad for things to be put in perspective again about what really matters in life!! I too often get caught up in the busyness of life and keeping things "in order." Clarabella seems to be going through a shy time in her life, so she stayed pretty close to Mom unless she was with the kids, then she was fine.
I was super excited Yesterday to get pictures of Eden that were taken by a family who has a toddler at the same orphanage as Eden!! I was anxious to see someone else's pictures of her and they were better!! It was fun because she sent a couple of pictures of Eden's hair completely out of braids! It is so CUTE!! She told me that Eden is such a joy to be around!! Then, today, I received Eden & Bereket's monthly updated pictures!! Oh, I just can't wait to meet them in person!! It looks like they cute Bereket's hair again and he definitely looks more grown up!! They said that he is walking now hanging on to a bed, so I don't think he is walking all on his own yet! The rest of the week is sure to be crazy as we prepare to leave. We are not planning on taking a laptop with us to ET so you won't hear more probably until we are back home!!!
I only took a couple of pictures at convention, even though I was hoping to get more!! Just the way it goes!
