Hairy Days

I have enjoyed reading and taking notes on other hair blogs, especially for AA hair.  I already have my wish list made of items I want to purchase.  These are a few things that I have heard a lot of great feedback from : the tangle teezer brush, coconut oil, Curly Q line, Kinky Curly line, Baby Buttercream, and Blue Magic Coconut Hair Conditioner.  I will not be buying all of these at once, of course.  I actually have read in the reviews that you do NOT need to spend a lot of money on products.  There are quite a few that you can pick up from WalMart - good ol' WalMart!  At our house, we are about half way into our first bottle of Moroccan Oil.  I love this stuff!!  Me neighbor suggested it to me and so I wanted to try it.  It is a bit pricey, but I wanted to give it a try.  We are hooked.  The girls are loving it because after their showers I have been putting the oil in the hair and rubbing it in good and then blow-drying their hair, which we did not used to do after every shower.  The Moroccan oil works better when it is heat- infused.  Anyway, it has been working great for Treva's hair especially, because she has such long hair and has been combing and styling her own hair!!  She doesn't always do a very good job of getting out all the tangles, so since we started this routine, I comb her hair out really well after drying it for her.  I think it has made our hair softer, shinier, and easier to work with!  It is supposed to help split ends and just nourish and protect.  Anyway, since there are three girls in the house with long hair and Bella's hair is a whole different story, but I occasionally put a dab of the Moroccan Oil in her hair too (to make her feel special), we are going through the stuff quicker than I would like.  Clarabella has so much curl to her hair, so I thought it would be interesting to see what the Moroccan Oil would do to her hair.  I don't really think it helps define her curls, but it gives it more shine,  I think.
I thought I would post a couple pictures of Katreese's hair since I have been enjoying practicing up on my braids / creativity when time allows.

Can you tell these pictures were taken in the morning before school?  My girl still looks half asleep!!  The pictures below were after we took her braids out and she didn't want me to ruin her "curls" as she calls them!  She has very straight hair like Treva and I, so we take every opportunity of kinky hair (smile)!

Clarabella is such a wonderful poser for the camera, so I had a hard time picking which ones to post.  Notice the green bands in her hair for St Patty's Day!!

How long have you had a blog? I didn't even know it existed. Pretty girls. Pretty hair. :) That previous post is just madness! Crazy, for sure.
