Rewind...

I have to rewind back to our driving trip to Iowa.  We left on Friday morning and headed through Klamath Falls and were aiming to get at least to Boise, Idaho for the night.  We decided on going through Billing, Montana on the way out so we could stop and see our family friend (smile) Heather Boyd!  We got to her place on Saturday night.  We had been traveling through snow and ice since 4 hours into our trip, so we were glad to be stopped for a couple of nights with Heather.

On Sunday morning we all rose early to go to Cody Special Meeting.  We didn't even realize it was snowing outside until we were practically walking out the door.  There was about 4 fresh inches of snow on our vehicle!  We all put on our game faces and rushed to the car to make the 2 hour drive to Cody.  It was still snowing and packed snow on the freeway.  I could tell Cade was ready to turn around but he just kept going!  We were all happy to make it safely to Cody and thankful for a "game" husband / father!! 

At the special meeting we heard there would normally be more people from Billings but because of the weather a lot of them didn't make the drive.  Loren Coleman was there and he said, "But look at these Californians who made the drive!!"  We decided we were the only ones who didn't have a brain!  (smile)  However, on the way back the weather had cleared and the roads were fine!!

That was a very special day and highlight to our trip!  It was great being packed in our car with Heather!!  Just felt right and we were so happy to be together again!!
