Part 6 Kauai

On our last two days at Kauai, we wanted to savor the last bit of time we had there.  We spent time with our friends, Gary and Pat and went back to Ponapei beach.  There is also great shaved ice there which was introduced to Cade and I by Sara and Margaret.  Don't think it is anything like shaved ice you get here!  They make amazing creations that taste very refreshing!!  
Anyway, our time with Gary and Pat was very inspiring, hearing their story of their adoptions and raising their children!  The first sibling group they adopted was twin 7 yr olds, 10 yr old, and 13 year old.  Later they took a sibling group of 2 in their custody (6 and 7 yrs old, I think)!  Talk about some experience raising older children!!

 Cade and I flew out on Tuesday night, so the whole day we completely relaxed.  When we were dining at the restaraunt, a big rain storm started with thunder and lightening!  It was quite a production!  Anyway, after getting to our gate we found out that the plane would be delayed because of the storm!  Luckily, even after almost 2 hours of waiting, we were able to get out of there and we didn't even miss our next connection in Los Angeles.

Our trip was very enjoyable, relaxing, recharging,....just what we needed!  So glad for those who encouraged us to take this time.  It was so well worth it and for those of you who have been interested, it is so important to spend time on your marriage... just the two of you!  It is needful!
