After having our friends here last weekend, we talked about injera (it's like a big sourdough pancake). When Cade and I were in Ethiopia eating their traditional food, we both decided it must be something that you grow accustomed to eating and you grow accustomed to their spices, much like any other food (Thai, Indian, Mexican) although the spice that they use in Ethiopia (berbere) is quite spicy smelly (I could go on that thought for some time!!).
Our friends, Mallie and Adrian, sent us a surprise package in the mail and was I ever surprised to open the box and find injera in the box!! What a thoughtful gesture, as we had just talked about how much Eden misses injera and I had hopes of finding her some (without going to all the trouble of making it myself!)

| The first night after we got the injera in the mail we had spaghetti and Eden went right back to ET way with her injera, eating the spaghetti with her fingers with her injera!! |

So sweet...her happy but almost nonchalant way of enjoying her injera. By the way what is Berber?
Berbere is a spice that they use in most all their cooking!! I posted a recipe for it!
Cute! Fun to "see" her on the video. What a sweetie.
