Buried in Tomatoes

It is canning season, which is a bit of a love / hate relationship for me!  I love the accomplishment of getting food put away, especially in the winter... but I really don't enjoy the hassle of canning!  

I knew that when I sent the kids out to pick ALL the tomatoes that I would have to can tomatoes this week because my garden was loaded with ready-ripe tomatoes and they were just beautiful tomatoes!!

 Yesterday I canned over 40 quarts of tomatoes and then today I finished with around 20 more quarts!  This is only my first time canning tomatoes this season so we should be well stocked for the winter for tomatoes if I get this done a couple more times!
