Something for Saturday

I feel like I just have not had any words for a post lately.  Weird?  Me, no words?!!  It reminded me of this morning what I studied in Ecc. 5:2- "Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefor let thy words be few."  The older I get, the better I understand this verse.  It says not to be hasty in ANYTHING!  All that we think, say, and do is before God!  May I say, then, that with this blog I feel such a need to choose my words wisely and carefully, that it could be an encouragement to others and never a hindrance or offence!  I have been debating for some time whether I should even continue the blog for these reasons.  I do not ever want it to appear that I should be boasting, or taking pride in anything!!

I do have some pictures from this week that I can share!  It has been a bit of a difficult week for several reasons: getting back into the groove after our upset schedule with Thanksgiving, sick kids, a monthly update on Bereket, and a few other things I won't comment on!

Katreese's birthday - nothing fancy, just homemade chocolate cake, whipping cream (a rarity at our house), candles, and sprinkles is all you need!!  Photo credits to Treva Crawford!!

Really loved the way this hair-do turned out and really, much easier than cornrowing.
Once again, photo by Treva and it looks like Eden was once again all ready to pose for the camera!!

It seems that my two youngest girls have been pretty much at it with each other a lot of the time this week, so the pictures below completely warmed my heart.

Eden has been working on learning on how to ride a bike!  What a sweet girly she is, too!!
A big source of encouragement this week for me was receiving this book in the mail this week by a blog follower!!  Super special!!

Happy weekend!  I am now the lucky one to be sick, so I am hoping this sore throat / yucky cold goes away quickly!  It just interferes with my Mommying job!!

May I encourage you to continue your blog. We have very much enjoyed following it. My husband knew your grandma Gretchen and I think he said he was there when she made her choice. I know it would be hard to not have Bereket home but we want to have faith that God sees the whole picture when we only see thru a glass darkly. Keep on keeping on. Love, Janie Faber
