Me, Myself, and I
I come into this world of
Daises and green grass
My mother happily grazing
I am new so what do I do
This world is so different and.....
I really don't understand
Others in the pasture
Better looking than me
Why am I so different?
Why, why, why!!!
Now I've met the others
I still feel left out!!!
My mother comforts me
However I still don't feel right
My father and mother love me dearly
BUT I DON"T UNDERSTAND!!!
My mother explained why I am ME
I finally realized I can be
Just as good
Even if I am different
I have a few friends
Me, Myself, and I
are my friends too
I am different
and I like to be different
And I LOVE ME, MYSELF, AND I....
And that you can't deny!!!
By Treva Crawford
Especially wrote for Eden Crawford and Bereket Crawford.
It was interesting talking to Treva about this afterwards because when she is referring to them about being different, she is basically empathizing with all of their differences in their lives because of where they came from, time in an orphanage, losing parents, culture, etc and then coming to America where EVERYTHING is different here!!

SO NICE!
What a wonderful poem and one day Eden and Bereket can look back and remember those special words written just for them.
Your daughter is a deep thinking and can express herself very well.
Thanks for sharing.
Never underestimate the adoption experience effect on siblings! Very sweet.
What a sensitive person your Treva is and what a beautiful poem she's written.
