IT IS FRIDAY!!

This Friday finds me busily and anxiously preparing for a trip overnight to Medford for my 10 mile run tomorrow!!  I have been fighting the weirdest virus for over a week and have tried really hard this week to EAT GOOD, REST GOOD, and NOT OVERDO!!  This morning I hopped on the scale because occasionally I check my weight and I don't fluctuate that much but it is showing that I have lost 30 pounds!!  What?!!  OK, like I said, I haven't been feeling very well with this virus I have been fighting: headache, stomach aches, throat constriction (no sore throat), tight chest feelings, loss of appetite, and fatigue.  So, I have decided to ignore the numbers on the scale because I can't make sense of it!  This week I have been taking it really easy.  I ran 5 miles on Wednesday, and did a couple of exercise DVDs 2 other days (strength training mostly) and have been eating as much as I can!!  My goal, of course, is to do the run and feel good! 

On another note, we received Eden and Bereket's monthly updates!!  I always look forward to seeing their pictures and reading their updates.  Guess who has a birthday tomorrow?  Eden!!  She turns 6 years old!  In her comments, it read, "She is growing fast!"  Yes, I know, and my heart aches that we can't celebrate her birthday with her and watch this phase of her life!!  Tomorrow would also be my husband's niece's birthday.  Sadie passed away in 1994 from Leukemia.  She would have been 17 years old!!  WOW!!  Thinking of her family tomorrow.... dates like this you don't forget!

Another interesting thing is that I will be running in Christina's (Foster) Ascics shoes tomorrow.  I have been running in them ever since Kerry let me borrow them when we visited Cade's job when he was working in Chico area.  I got them a bit dirty and Kerry told me to take them home and wash them!  I did and just so ya know, I have pretty much worn them out!!  I have put a lot of miles on them and there is hardly ever a time that I put them on without thinking of Christina!  Special!!       

And now, I must be off to finish getting ready to take my family with me to Medford for a special night with a special family before the big day!!
