Here are the pictures I took from Friday night:

It was hard to get the kids to bed at a decent time so that we could all get some good rest for a big day!! I was nervous and anxious and really didn't sleep all that well, but I had no problem getting out of bed the next morning !! Aleesha and I left our hubby's with the kids and headed over to for our run! It was a chilly but very beautiful morning. When I was down getting a little bit to eat at the hotel I saw this very small guy fully decked out in running gear!! It was funny because I recognized him in the run and he was one of the first people to finish!! Anyway, we had a really hard time finding a place to park and the 5K people were just finishing their race, so there were a lot of people out!! I couldn't get over the amount of people that were there!! Aleesha and I thronged in among thousands of people who were getting ready to start the 10 miler! When the gun (s) went off to start the race, you really couldn't run because there were so many people squished around you! I stayed with Aleesha for a brief (very) while and then she was off to try to beat her competition. I was really not worried about my time but my goal was to not walk and to feel good and enjoy the run! I have to say my mission was accomplished. Not once did I even think of walking. It felt really good and the morning crisp air was perfect as the sun came out and shone down! It was so much fun to spot Cade, Russ, & the kids on the corner close to the finish with other friends!! My finished time was 1:27:33! I was happy! I ran into other people I knew that had finished (Jennifer Nidalmia and her hubby, Laura Stender, & De Kelner). It was truly an amazing run! I had to laugh as I was remembering what Cade told me. I told him it was just a "once in a lifetime kinda deal" mostly because I just wanted to run a 10 miler at least once in my lifetime! He said back to me, "Maybe not, you might like it!" Well, he was right! Now I know why people run in races like this! It is an adrenaline rush, an incredible self booster (I have not run 10 miles at once before this), and a great workout!! HA!
These were taken before the run!
We were laughing at how tired we looked in the pictures!!
I didn't get any pictures after the run, sadly enough!! OK, I am not really too sad about that, but I would have loved to get a picture of the "corner cheering crew!"
The kids and dads enjoyed watching the Pear Blossom Parade, but Aleesha and I took off to get some hot showers and to pack up our family's luggage. Then, we got some FOOD!! Fast food, even, and I didn't care. It tasted really good, in fact!! By the time we got to meeting our families, they were leaving the parade, so we went to the park and ate our lunch! Some of our friends met together at the park and played softball and can you believe I was crazy enough to participate after my 10 mile run? Treva really wanted me to play with her, so I did and I enjoyed myself even though I wasn't moving real quickly!!
It was fun to watch Bella and Claire together! I am not sure just what was going on here!!
I was too busy playing ball to take pictures at the park. Once again, I was sorry I didn't get more pictures because there was a great crew there and we enjoyed being with everyone!! Bella and Trevin played together at the park a lot of the time! Katreese (my lil' momma) helped keep an eye on Bella for me and told some funny stories of Clarabella and Trevin playing together!!
To top of our day Aleesha suggested we go out to DQ for ice cream! This was a very special treat for my kiddos since we hardly ever have ice cream!! A fun time was had by all!!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. We were sad to miss out on the festivities this year of Pear Blossom since we have been at the last 16 years but my parents were visiting for the weekend. Glad you enjoyed yourself.
