PREPARING

Yesterday I was so fortunate to have a jury summons (NOT!) but luckily I was done at the court house around 11 am.  Since I was without any kiddos, I went to Medford to do some needed shopping that I have been putting off for Eden and Bereket.  WHY?  Well, I was waiting until they were legally ours and I was not sure how soon I would be bringing them home, as far as shopping for them.  Today I got their birth certificates in the mail, so, yes, we are getting close!!  That also means, that we have work to do to get ready for them, which I have also been putting off.  Back to the shopping day I had Yesterday in Medford.  I was super excited (just ask Cade) to find some REALLY good deals!  Here are a few.

Eden really needed leggings, especially in Ethiopia because they do a lot of layering there.  These were used $1.75 each.
Eden also needed Pajamas.  I paid $2.50 for this set at a used store.
Carter Pj bottoms for 75 cents.
 Curious George PJs for $2.25.
Old Navy jean skirt with adjustable band for $2.
 Gymboree jumper for $3.50.
Gymboree skirt in perfect condition for $3.50.
I found this Sunday shoes on sale from Target for Eden for $4.98.
More Circo leggings on sale at Target for $2.48
Target Circo shirt on sale for $3.48.
These t-shirts were less expensive on clearance at $2.98.
Since I found more leggings at another used kid's store, I decided to stock up for winter because I think she'll wear them.  We have seen pictures of her wearing leggings under skirts in ET.
I found a couple of nice long sleeved shirts, too, at the same store, which I thought she may wear in ET while we are there.  It is their rainy season right now.
Bereket needs plastic pants (even over diapers) since it is recommended since a lot of the babies have diarrhea (giardia).  These were like brand new at the used store, other wise I wouldn't have bough them.  They were only 75 cents.

Robeez slippers for our little crusin' guy.  These were used and I paid $9 which is a super deal for these shoes!!
I was really excited to find these hot pink salt water sandals for Eden at the used store and I only paid $5!!  They were in perfect condition!
I found these Tommy Hilfiger tennis's for Eden also at the used store for $2!
This is what they look like after I washed them!
I had to put this picture in - blankie for Bereket!
Jean skirt in great condition for $3.99.  I may have to adjust the waist, though!
And, just for fun, I found these shoes for me at Target for $4.98.  I have a navy pair just like them and I love them, but I decided white would go with more!!  (smile) I am actually thinking of taking them to ET with me, since I had blisters from my sketchers that I wore on my trip!!
So, maybe it is kinda lame to post these pictures, but since I have had so much positive feedback and interest in our 2 new children, I thought I would go ahead!

Today I started prepping Cyrus' old room to paint.  I actually started priming the part of his room with the stripes!!  I am sad to cover up the stripes.  I really liked them!

Oooo... anticipation and excitement building! :) What size Robeez do you need for Eden? I have a few pairs I could send your way if they would fit. If you give me sizes, I probably have a few boxes I could dig through and donate to the cause. ;)

The robeez are for Bereket and he supposedly will turn 2 yrs old next month, however, he is pretty small!! I am totally guessing for his shoe size, but the Robeez I got for him were 18-24 month, I think! I am preparing mostly 18 month clothes for him, but I have 2-T as well and even a few smaller sizes.
