School Starts

Tuesday was our official last day of summer around here.  BOO -HOO! Although, I have to seriously admit that I was feeling it was time.  I was hopeful that starting school might benefit Eden in a lot of ways.  So, we celebrated to the end of summer and the beginning of homeschooling!!

Homeschool.  Wow!  Yes, I've already heard how busy I'm going to be and how hard it's going to be.  Let me clarify one thing.  I didn't go into this because I want to be portrayed as super mom or the lady who needs control over her kids or.... whatever!!  Cade and I agreed to try homeschooling with the foremost reason of trying something different for Eden.  She told Cade and I that she doesn't make good choices at school and she doesn't know why. That is also not the reason, but after a summer of endless issues popping up with her, we feel that it may be worth the try!!  We strongly feel that some of these issues need the proper attention or things will continue to worsen. Maybe one of the scariest things as well, that I don't talk much publicly about is that she is still emotionally like a 4 year old but is already hitting puberty because of early malnutrition!!
Anyway, we are giving this a homeschooling thing a go and enthusiastic about it right now!  Katreese and Clarabella are excited to be a part of it too and it also gives me an opportunity to do more other things with them too and to start Lil Bear with a little school!

and we can't forget lil Bear!

These four were giddy with excitement on the morning of their first day of home schooling!
The first day was CRAZY!!  Our books didn't come in so it was a bit frustrating but we are moving on and the second day was easier, even without the books!

Yes, you will be busy. Yes, there are days it will be hard. Yes, you will second-guess yourself multiple times. And yes, I have found it to be worth it. :)

Good luck!
