There is so much to catch back up on... Maybe I could do like my friend, Alyssa! It was very impressive to see all the blogging she did in one day?!! WOW! Some how, I don't think that will be happening today though!

This was long overdue (once again) for Cade and I but it really did a lot to help me! We ate at Red Lobster early (like 4 pm) to beat the rush and then checked in early to our motel (which was the right thing to do when it is pouring rain outside!!) It was very nice! The next morning, Cade's sister, Jeanie, picked me up from our motel and I ran one of their Frosty Run Races (it was a 5.5 miler) and mingled with those great Redding ladies who have been getting into running! Since I have only been running for enjoyment (not training) and been on my treadmill a lot, it was a welcome break and very enjoyable!! The weather was beautiful and overcast (not raining!)! My time was 41:34 so I was good with that!
| I took this pict after my run back at the motel. |
I was seriously wishing I would have gotten the ladies together for a picture!! Oh, well! Maybe next time! Cade and I then headed back on Saturday for Katreese's last game of the season which was part of the tournament. It was enjoyable and the girls on her team have come SO FAR!! They pushed so hard that last game and finished well!!! So proud of them all and of course for my little Katreese. This is only her first year but she learned a lot and even though she still has to gain more confidence, she did very well!!!
During Katreese's game we got a call from Cade's dad that Bereket had fallen out of his truck door when they were out feeding cows. Uh, maybe I should clarify! They were feeding cows and the truck was not moving. Bear was looking out the window and leaning against the door and his cousin, Slade, opened the door and Bereket fell out on the ground. He was crying hard and by the time we got to him, he was a mess!!! Poor little guy!! I took him to the ER and found he fractured his clavicle!!
Bereket has had much more pain with this fracture and has been much more vocal about it and when it hurts he gets a bit crabby and demanding. I think that is a good thing, though!! (smile)
Sunday morning, after a late night we went to start the Excursion and it wouldn't start. Cade finally got it started and then after our morning meeting we went to get fuel and when he tried to start it again, it wouldn't start!!! We were stranded at the cardlock until Mark came down and helped jump it!!! (It was the starter thankfully and was easily remedied!)

Anyway, that was our crazy weekend!!!
