Run Down

We have been pushing, pushing lately.  This is the first week in a long time that I have actually been able to let down "a little!"  It just has been crazy and I have not prioritized MY well being.  What is that saying, "If Mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"  The crazy busy schedule that we have been keeping has not added any enjoyment to life, but rather robbed us of true enjoyment of LIFE!

Treva and Katreese both had a flu bug that wiped them out for 24 hrs min. and then they were up and raring to go again!  This week it was Eden's turn. She threw up twice at school (I still am confused at why I didn't get a call!!)!  Anyway, it just so happened that we were headed to a baseball game on Monday night, so I had no choice but for her to tough it out.  She did.  She was a trooper.  It was windy and I know she was cold and not feeling up to sitting at a game (I think she and the other little ones are pretty much over wanting to sit at baseball or any kind of games for that matter!) but she hung in there without getting sick, thankfully!  I felt bad, but since I wasn't told ahead of time, there wasn't much I could do about it.  The girls had their team pictures, too, so were stuck!

Anyway, Eden had a good night and without her even waking up in the morning I decided I would keep her home.  I knew she was probably needing to catch up on sleep!  Eden, Bereket, and Bella all slept until we left for school (which is rare) and then Eden fell asleep in the car on the way to and from school.  Once we were back home I offered her some toast and she said, "No, thank you," and climbed back in bed.  She did not even wiggle until around 3 pm!!  It was crazy!!  She got up, used the restroom, said her tummy was still not feeling well, and went back to bed!  She slept again until I woke her up to see if she wanted to try to eat a little dinner!  She was wiped!!!!  Let me remind you of the first time Eden ever threw up here!  She was one worried little girl because she was not doing the "normal" like everyone else, not eating and sleeping in bed when no one else was!  I am not sure if that is an indicator of how far she has come with being comfortable, or if she was just THAT sick and tired!! She went to school today, though, and looked very rested!!

I am happy to say that we have two things checked off our busy schedule for a while now.  That would be AAU basektball and piano lessons.  Now we are getting ready for our annual church convention and I am actually starting to get excited and past the overwhelmed feeling!!

Treva didn't have to go to school today since there was a high school orientation for the 8th graders who will go to H.C. school and since Treva will go to Yreka with Cy, she chose to stay home and help me plant my garden.  Wasn't that nice?!!!  Bella and Treva were so sweet together this morning in the easy chair.
